Former Chairman – Keith Greenleaves

It is with great sadness that I inform you that Keith Greenleaves Former Chairman of the Pound Hill North Residents Association passed away on Friday 10th February 2020.

Keith became Chairman of the Association at the end of 2005 during the campaign against the Gas Holder travellers’ site proposal. Under his guidance the planning application for this site was challenged and ultimately dismissed.

He served as the Association Chairman for five years. Originally tendering his notice in 2008, however due to the lack of a replacement candidate he continued to extend his term until 2010.

Keith was passionate about the local community, he was diligent, methodical and professional. Keith was known for being ‘relentless’ pursuing issues with the authorities, and would always lead from the front.

On behalf of the Association I would like to pass on our condolences to Keith’s wife Iris and the rest of the family at this sad time.

Kevan McCarthy
Chairman PH(N)RA

The funeral arrangements are as follows: –

Friday 28th February 2020 at 2.45 in the Memorial Chapel at the Crematorium and afterwards at the Copthorne Hotel.

  1. Oh that’s very sad. I remember Keith’s enthusiasm for local issues. Him walking his dog was a familiar sight.
Please pass our thoughts to his wife and family.
