Worth Park Restoration Project

Crawley Borough Council has been awarded a grant of £2.4m from the Heritage Lottery and The Big Lottery Fund to restore Worth Park to its former Victorian glory. Cathedral Works Organisation Ltd (CWO) has been appointed by the council to carry out the restoration of the fountain and stonework features.

CWO was originally founded in 1965 to undertake the restoration of the Norman Cathedral in Chichester and more recently, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court and The Queens Gallery at Buckingham Palace.

March – What we hope to achieve this month

  • Cleaning of the sundial, Dutch and fountain gardens and terraces
  • Removal of old stonework
  • Draining the pond and clearing debris
