Bulb planting 29 November
Could you spare a couple of hours to help plant bulbs and bring a splash of colour to Grattons Drive in the spring?
In partnership with Let’s FACE it! Pound Hill North Residents Association have been allocated 2,000 native British daffodil bulbs for planting along the side of Grattons Drive.
The date and time for bulb planting is Saturday 29 November starting at 10:00 a.m. Let’s FACE it! will provide everything needed, spades, gloves, high visibility waistcoats, and of course the bulbs.
We are looking for volunteers to help with the planting and all we ask is that you meet us by the children’s play area at Grattons Drive at 10:00 a.m.
2,000 bulbs may sound a lot, but planting 5 or 10 per hole it won’t take us long to get through them all!
Our plan of action: –
- Cut out a ‘U’ shape (lid) into the grass to provide access
- Lift the lid and dig a hole to a spade depth
- Pop in the bulbs
- Fill the hole and close the lid
It will look like we have never been there – until the spring
We are looking forward to meeting you on Saturday 29 November, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Ruth Growney the Let’s FACE it! Coordinator on 01293 438926 or 07990 554039.
